Despite global evidence-based guidelines for infant and young child feeding for the first two years, suboptimal infant feeding practices, particularly in regards to breastfeeding, are common in Nova Scotia. Most nutrition education is provided to new parents, but in reality many folks in the general population are apt to provide input and advice on feeding little ones.
We are currently trying to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs around infant feeding among a diverse sample of adults Nova Scotians of various age, gender, geographical, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
